Radiator Cover 101

Our covers are custom-built from safe, beautiful heat distribution and a modern look.

  • Styles: OG (Original), SH (Shaker), Aura (Engraved), Mono (Baseboard)
  • Materials: Furniture-grade plywood
  • Vent patterns: Optimized for airflow and home decor
  • Safety: Rounded edges; optional child-safe fasteners
  • Customization: Width, Height, Depth, cutouts, paint color, grille patterns

How to Measure

Accurate measurements = perfect fit. Measure in inches.

1) Measure your radiator (or baseboard unit)

  • Length (L): left to right, including valves/cas if inside the cover
  • Height (H): floor to top of unit
  • Depth (D): wall to the front-most point (fins, pipe, or trim)

2) Add clearance

  • Add +2 in to LENGTH for airflow and easy placement
  • Add +1 in to HEIGHT
  • Add +2 in to DEPTH

3) Check obstacles

  • Note baseboards, outlets, sills, and valves
  • If you need pipe cutouts, mark their centerline from left wall an height from floor

4) Example (typical cast iron)

  • Radiator body: L31.5" x H22.25" x D7"
  • Order size: L34" x H24" x D10"

5) Tips:

  • Its better to order a tad bigger than to order it smaller and it doesn't fit.
  • If your unsure, send photo with a tape measurer visible. We'll sanity-check before we build.

Finish Guide

Pick a finish that matches your space and usage.

  • Painted (most popular): Smooth, durable, easy to clean
  • Natural wood accents: Adds warmth; recommend clear coat
  • Matte vs Satin: Matte hides fingerprints; Satin wipes easier
  • Color match: Provide your brand/hex/RAL/Benjamin Moore/Sherwin-Williams code at checkout

Heat-safe coatings are used on all painted covers.

Installation

Most installs take 10-20 minutes.

Steps:

  1. Place the cover over the radiator, centered.
  2. Check door/trim clearance and alignment with wall.
  3. (Optional) Secure anti-tip L-brackets to wall (recommended in homes with kids/pets).
  4. Verify airflow: leave front grille and top vents unobstructed.

Renters: covers can be used freestanding; use removable pads to protect floors and wall paint.

Care & Maintanence

  • Dust & lint: Vacuum grilles monthly for best airflow
  • Wipe-down: Damp microfiber cloth; mild soap for spots
  • Avoid: Abrasive pads or harsh solvents
